Experimenting with new software
One day when updating my Adobe Suite, I noticed a new program called Adobe Character Animator. After watching a couple tutorials, I jumped in to give it a try. I created an illustration of my favorite Star Wars character in Adobe Illustrator, careful to include all the various expressions I would need while animating. Once that was complete, I used the Character Animator to bring her to life. It took a few tries to get the motion-tracking working right, but once I did I was very pleased with the result.
I really enjoyed learning how to use the Character Animator on a basic level, and I can't wait to dive in deeper to see what else the software can do.
While creating the illustration of Ahsoka used above, I took a break to sketch and GIF a tiny Porg from Star Wars: The Last Jedi. While it was just for fun, it was a good refresher on how to create simple GIFs in Photoshop.
